Academic integrity is a fundamental principle of education that is embedded across all areas of learning at Evelyn Scott School (ACARA, 2025).
Academic integrity refers to the expectation that learners and educators behave with honesty, responsibility and fairness in all aspects of learning.
Examples of academic integrity include producing original work, acknowledging the work of others by attributing sources, and avoiding plagiarism, collusion or falsifying data (ACT BSSS, 2025).
The referencing system used at Evelyn Scott School is the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th. Principles of APA 7th are introduced in the Senior Primary Campus (Years 5 and 6) and are expected in the Senior Campus (Years 7 to 10).
To support learners to use APA 7th consistently, the Library provides access to the School Library Association of South Australia's Online Referencing Generator. Please ask your learning group teacher for the link to access this tool or connect with the Library.
