Principal Welcome
I am honoured to be the Foundation Principal of Evelyn Scott School. As a Future Focused school, we will learn through inquiry-based approaches that connects learners and their learning to the world. We will lead our community to engage with the ACT Future of Education Strategy and all of its possibilities. Contemporary learning means preparing for a shifting future that requires skills and knowledge, citizenship, connection to culture and the environment and capacity to solve complex problems with creative approaches.
We are clearly very privileged to have such an inspirational trailblazer as Dr Evelyn Scott as our school’s namesake. We have been fortunate to maintain this connection by engaging Ms Charmaene Scott, Dr Evelyn Scott’s daughter, as one of our School Board members.
In February 2021, we welcomed all of our students and families to Evelyn Scott School. It was wonderful to welcome our high school learners at the beginning of 2023 as we opened our Senior Campus.
