Evelyn Scott School is looking forward to welcoming all our new and returning learners back for 2024.

Monday 29th January will be a student free day for all ACT Public Schools.

Tuesday 30th January 2024 will be the first day back for learners in Kindergarten, Year 7 and our start of the week Preschool groups (Rosellas and Kookaburras). New and returning learners in Years 1 to 6 and Years 8 to 10 will start the year on Wednesday 31 January. End of the week Preschool groups (Wedge tail Eagles and Reed Warblers) will start on Thursday 1st February. We are exceedingly proud of our state-of-the-art facilities. Last year, we were awarded a Master Builder's Award for our school. Over the past two years, we have worked hard to establish and embed our learning model. The next stage of our journey was to examine how we are using our buildings to their full effect.

At Evelyn Scott School, we are confident that we are delivering a high quality, academically rigorous education to your children. For many years, many people in the media have shared their opinions about education and some of these are not founded in research or best practice. There is also a national debate surrounding education; whether we should go 'back to basics' or should we keep pace with current research and deliver an education that gives our children skills and knowledge for their futures.

Enrolments for the 2024 school year, for ACT students from Preschool to Year 12 are open from Wednesday 26 April 2023.

Enrolments for the 2024 school year for students transitioning schools or starting at a school are open. Visit education.act.gov.au for the online application link and information about the school in your child’s Priority Enrolment Area. School information sessions for prospective students are being held throughout May. Alternately, visit school websites to find out more or contact the school directly. Apply by 2 June to receive an offer from 24 July 2023.

We are very pleased to announce that Evelyn Scott School is the winner of a Master Builders Association (MBA) Award. Evelyn Scott School has won the 2022 Sustainable Commercial Project Award. Children and young people at Evelyn Scott School are learning in an award-winning environment with sustainability at its core.
