Principal Welcome

I am honoured to be the Foundation Principal of Evelyn Scott School. As a Future Focused school, we will learn through inquiry-based approaches that connects learners and their learning to the world. We will lead our community to engage with the Future of Education Strategy and all of its possibilities. Contemporary learning means preparing for a shifting future that requires skills and knowledge, citizenship, connection to culture and the environment and capacity to solve complex problems with creative approaches

We are clearly very privileged to have such an inspirational trailblazer as Dr Evelyn Scott as our school’s namesake. I can’t wait to welcome all of our students and families when we open our doors next year.

Community comes together

Recently, the Evelyn Scott School community came together for a Community Day where staff and families could meet and tour the administration and preschool buildings. The purpose-built Community Room and temporary library became the hub for all of the planned activities and it became a great place for parents and families to get to know each other prior to the new year.

Future Focused Learning at Evelyn Scott School

Put simply, the education that served us as either Baby Boomers or Generation X/Y no longer serves our children. Contemporary learning means preparing for a shifting future that requires skills and knowledge, citizenship, connection to culture and the environment and capacity to solve complex problems with creative approaches.
